Blackline Safety's Loner Mobile is a specialized application designed to enhance the safety of lone workers on iPhone devices. Fully compliant with GDPR standards, it ensures that all data remains securely within the organization’s control without sharing information with third parties. Currently, the platform manages safety protocols for over 60,000 employees across more than 50 countries worldwide.

Operational Overview

Organizations utilize Loner Mobile to oversee the safety of employees performing tasks beyond sight or sound of colleagues. The app is available at no cost through the iOS App Store. Each instance of Loner Mobile is linked to an organization-level Blackline Live account and requires an active service plan, subject to the details outlined in the Get Started section.

Configurability and Functionality

The application offers extensive customization options, enabling organizations to tailor safety monitoring through features such as check-in timers, no-motion (man down) detection, and compatibility with various Bluetooth accessories that provide wearable physical SOS buttons.

Operating discreetly in the background, Loner Mobile maintains continuous connection with the Blackline Safety Cloud, transmitting real-time safety status and location data. In emergency situations, the app triggers alerts to a designated live monitoring team who can coordinate assistance based on the employee’s current location. Monitoring options include internal supervisors, centralized control rooms, or Blackline’s dedicated 24/7 Safety Operations Center and partner Alarm Receiving Centers.
